The Bali writing retreat changed my life!

And the book I started writing there is healing my heart and will heal the heart of millions.

~ Tatiana Arias

Bali is known as the Island of a Thousand Temples, and this retreat is designed to explore the sacred temples within Bali as a way to remember the sacred temple and soulprint within your own body. Through movement and dance, you’ll excavate the stories that are ready to be revealed, with writing sessions to help you pour them from your body onto the page.

The daily writing circles include discussion and writing prompts. It’s said when two or more women get together and speak their truth, the sacred is present. Our writing circles are a way to bring the sacred into a written expression. We’ll look deeper into what is guiding our spirits, how to tell the stories that help us make sense of our lives, and find the places where our own stories connect to the bigger human story.

In addition to our daily Qoya classes, writing circles, pilgrimages to temples, and other cultural experiences, you’ll have abundant time to lounge, rest, and indulge in onsite massages (only $22 USD!) with healthy meals cooked by our private local chef, with some meals out so you can experience more culture of the area. During the week, your body and spirit will be well nourished so your soul can remember the stories it’s ready to share.

The retreat is based in Ubud at an intimate boutique hotel that will feel like your home in Bali. You don’t need to consider yourself a writer to feel comfortable in our Bali writing circles but you probably have unexpressed stories that have been whispering to you. Betsy gently guides women through writing about the moments in their lives that matter and from that place women discover how their story fits into a collective awakening. Will your voice be part of the collective?

Working with Betsy on my story was one of those magical experiences where the veil lifts. ~Maggie Marie

You may be writing for a blog or potential book. You may be writing just to keep the creative flow open. There is a mini-writing intensive add-on October 19 & 20th. You’ll get private sessions with Betsy and the opportunity to workshop your story to see how it can be developed into a book or solo show. If you are interested in writing a book, this is your chance to learn if traditional or independent publishing is better for you.

I love the way Betsy has transformed what has hurt her into what heals her, and how she’s danced forward into the eternal What’s Next.
